FAQ YanKiwi

Q. Who designs your stamps?
A. YanKiwi stamps are born from a collaborative process. Current design team consists of Susan, Tracy and Sebastien, an extremely talented French artist we are lucky to work with. You can view more of his art work on his blog http://galactix.blogspot.com/.

Q. Do you press your own rubber?
A. No, on the production side we work with a master team of artisans, from the magnesium plate engraver to the creation of matrix boards and vulcanizing of rubber by Jim Marcus of Circustamps.

Q. How true to the images shown do your stamps stamp?
A. We have paid special attention to all artwork and only release images that stamp well. Some images will stamp better using quality dye ink on glossy paper, in saying that, we encourage you to experiment to achieve your desired look.

Q. Do you sell you stamps mounted or individually?
A. No. We sell three different sizes sheets of unmounted rubber, A plates 3.5” x 8”, B plates 5.25” by 8” and C plates 10.25” x 8”. We believe this offers our customers more artwork for less money and takes into account the different forms of mounting and storage issues that are out there.

Q. Can I cut up the rubber stamp sheets and re sell them individually on places like ebay?
A. No, that would be violating our Copyright and we cannot and will not tolerate this practice.

Q. Can I use your stamps to sell my artwork?
A. Of course you can and we encourage it. We are an Angel Company, and only ask that no mechanical or digital techniques be used to reproduce our images, i.e. only hand stamping allowed. We are flattered that you want to use our stamps, we only ask that you respect our livelihood and our Copyright and credit our designs whenever possible.

Q. Do you ship overseas?
A. Yes, by USPS Global Priority. However there are certain cases where we will have to ship via variable weight if the items are too bulky. We will contact you if that is the case. Please refer to our Shipping and Returns policy.

Q. Do you offer discount on shipping?
A. Yes, FREE shipping on US bound orders over $100.

A. We accept VISA and MASTER CARD credit cards, and PayPal.

Q. Is your site secure for payment?
A. Yes, we use encryption to process your credit card information, and hold a SSL certificate for added security.

Q. What happens if you are out of stock on a product that I want?
A. Our shopping cart will tell you if we are out of stock on an item and you will be given the option of placing it on backorder. Generally, there will not be a long wait for any of the rubber sheets, however with the GWOs it may take time to restock or may no longer be available. We will communicate with you and offer options with each situation.

Q. Why are some of your GWOs no longer available?
A. We always encourage you to buy the Gorgeous Wee Object when you see them available. Our goal is to keep a changing supply of new product of both vintage and new embellishments, and obviously some of these are in limited supply.
